In this DHN interview, Dr Preetha Reddy, Executive Vice Chairperson, Apollo Hospitals, shared how cross-border collaboration, public-private partnerships, and AI are shaping the future of healthcare. Reflecting on lessons from the pandemic, she said, "We can't live in silos, we can't live in isolation anymore," adding that "COVID taught us that lesson." She emphasized that "there were lessons for them to learn from India and there were lessons for us to learn from them," highlighting the importance of global knowledge exchange and innovation.
Speaking about India's Vision 2047, Reddy highlighted Apollo's collaboration with governments to improve healthcare access. She noted, "Making healthcare accessible is a common goal for both governments and the private sector," adding that "we just have to be able to come together to deliver that." From telemedicine and hospital management to workforce skilling and research, she stressed that public-private collaboration is key to expanding quality healthcare.
